'I Dare You!' is the latest CD from swing/blues/jive supremos Blue Harlem and is the first to feature the fabulous Sophie Shaw. With this recording the band continue the exploration of the Urban Blues. Artists such as Louis Jordan, Percy Mayfield, Charles Brown, Ruth Brown and Dinah Washington are represented here, along with newer material from the band itself and the song-writing partnership of Fran Landesman and Simon Wallace.

'Jump Blues', 'Blues and Rhythm', 'Rhythm and Blues' are all terms that have been used, rather unsatisfactorily we feel, for this style of music - where blues meets jazz, swing and boogie-woogie.
